02 Dec Thank You!
We are thankful for the extended family that is Access Sciences – individuals who exhibit our core values day-in and day-out. Despite the adversity we have faced this year, our team continues to exhibit a service mindset, cultivate our craftsmanship, demonstrate stewardship, and do whatever it takes to overcome the obstacles we have faced.
SERVICE MINDSET
In March, the COVID-19 virus disrupted our way of living. Our team swiftly adapted to working virtually, and we helped our clients make that same transition to work-from-home through digital collaboration tools and best practices for information governance.
We also continued to support the communities we’re a part of by raising funds for the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation, which provides students with new books for their home library, and Girls Who Code, which strives to close the gender gap in tech through educating, equipping, and inspiring young girls.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Throughout the year, our subject matter experts presented a well-rounded portfolio of content, including how to navigate the transition to Microsoft Teams and other information management topics.
In addition to delivering work for clients from their own home-offices, our employees were able to readily consume content for professional development purposes through virtual conferences, podcasts, books, trainings, and webinars.
STEWARDSHIP
And despite the pandemic and the physical separation that came along with it, Access Sciences has been able to remain a truly united team.
When the home-office in Houston closed to prevent the spread of the virus, our corporate services team took the time to prepare and send out Self-Care Kits to all employees across the U.S. These kits included face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer. We were able to remain in contact with each employee and keep updated on the status of their health and safety.
DO WHATEVER IT TAKES
Additionally, our employees in Texas and Louisiana endured the threat of 29 hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico, and they made it through. Our employees in Oregon faced raging wildfires, and they made it through.
Our team persevered and never disrupted service to our clients.
More than anything,
Access Sciences is thankful for our employees who are strong and resilient, for our clients that put their trust in us and stood with us, and for being recognized as a top place to work. Our core values are ingrained in us and have served as our guiding light for 35 years, through the good times and bad.
Our lives have been forever changed by 2020, but it has only made us stronger. Here’s to 2021.
